Interlibrary Loan (ILL) facilitates the lending and borrowing of books and other materials among participating libraries throughout the United States. Since no library can have every item that its customers might want, ILL offers an easy and cost-effective way to supplement a library’s local collection.


To use the computers, we require your Sergeant Fernando de la Rosa Memorial Library or other participating Hidalgo County Public Library Card. Patrons under 18 must have their parents/guardians signed permission. Internet access, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the Library Catalog are available on each computer. There is no charge for computer use. (Computers are turned off 30 minutes before closing.)


Each computer prints to a color laser printer. Each page is 25 cents each.

Copy Machine

Black and white copies are 10 cents each.

Fax Machine

To send: 1st page $3.00; each additional page is 15 cents

To receive: 1st page 50 cents; each additional page is 15 cents


Typewriter is available for one hour with no charge.

Books & Magazines for sale!

Hardcover books - 25 cents each

Paperback books - 10 cents each

Magazines - 5 cents each

Talking Books Program

The Talking Book Program provides free Library services to Texans who are unable to read standard print material due to visual, physical, or reading disabilities--whether permanent or temporary. Click on above link for more information.
